The summer intensive art program is designed to offer each student a personalized experience in a small group studio environment using artist-quality materials.  The students spend their time focusing on the visual arts in the areas of painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, printmaking and collage with an added exploration each day of creative writing, poetry, or movement. Women artists teach in their areas of expertise and mentor the students through sharing their work and lives as artists. The students also visit local art galleries and art studios owned by women in the community.  The summer session culminates in a closing exhibition of the students' work. Students must be recommended for this program by at least 2 mentors. For more information please call Deena Carney, Director of Education at 970-259-2602 ext 15.
